No beer at DKR in 2014

I read your post. . .you addressed me directly in your remarks. . . .

Nor was it the first time you addressed me/blamed me for things in this thread. . .a thread I will point out, that before page 7, I was not a part of. . . .

Frankly I could care less if you single me out. . .and. . . .you are in fact inserting yourself in what you call a "fuss fest" .. .

But given the volume of your comments I am reminded of a Lincoln  quote:

it's been so long, i had to go back to page one to see how this thread got sideways. it didn't take long to be reminded.

I think it is the lack of beer.

I went back and looked, too, ... fun times!

Just put a few of these inside of DKR....
I hate to say this, but they have had apparati such as this for a long time in Japan.  You could also get room temperature plastic bottles of Pokari Sweat, a Japanese version of Gatorade except a tad saltier.  I tried it once, but I did not partake after that.  I did not want to offend the gods of the Wild Pokari who so graciously bequeathed us their sweat.  I dare say that they should not put automated Pokari Sweat dispensers inside of DKR.  I do not think it would be a very good fit amongst our Longhorn Brethren.  You see, if you haven't figured this out yet ... it kind of tastes like room temperature sweat.  Not a very good idea for American markets.  No ... unless you LIKE to drink room temperature sweat ... and of course, then, there is nothing really wrong with that.

All this talk and one thing is certain. .. Duke don't like Patterson.... Duke don't like Strong....

Duke wants change and states some don't like change at Texas and that's why change is not happening. .. but I submit to Duke that change has happened with a new AD and a new Coach. It seems to me that Duke can't embrace change....
Lol. I have no problem with Strong. He is leading the football program and we all need to get ready for what he delievers.

I am absolutely not a fan of Patterson. If you are a leader, give people something to connect with. Patterson wants us to support him, yet he has delivered absolutely nothing for the faithful to point to as a reason to admire his leadership.

It isn't about change. It is about getting the right people in the right positions. For the umpteenth time, what about the program exemplifies excellence? What has Steve Patterson done that could justify a job rating above "adequate."

Since when has "adequate" been the acceptable standard at UT?

North Texas to sell beer at football games

By: Mark Norris - email

The University of North Texas will sell beer at football games this season, the school announced Thursday.

Beer sales will begin at the Sept. 6 home opener against SMU.

SMU already sells beer at basketball games at Moody Coliseum and will begin sales at football games when it hosts Texas A&M on Sept. 20.

"We carefully studied all issues related to making beer available in Apogee Stadium, and from every angle, it makes sense," said UNT President Neal Smatresk in a prepared statement. "At UNLV, my experience was that selling beer helped to more carefully regulate alcohol consumption and encouraged more fans to watch the game in the stadium. It also cumulatively improved revenues and had no negative impact on the overall experience of all fans."

Houston, North Texas, Rice and SMU will be the Texas schools that now serve beer at football games. The University of Texas began a pilot program in 2014 with beer sales at sports like men’s and women’s basketball.

UNT said its athletic department, university administration, office of risk management and University police were involved in the decision and planning effort for beer sales.

Loves Strong, hates the man who hired him. . . . .who you claim hasn't done anything to impress you yet. . ..you mean other than hiring CFS and expanding our "brand" into China . .. .

I can't make this shit up. . .sometimes the jokes just write themselves. . . .

PS,

I'm curious if you apply the same demand for excellence to yourself as you do to others .. . .I have to ask because it certainly isn't obvious.
