Great news. Slim was one of the people who had a lot of nice things to say about me when I was going through some tough times after a car wreck years ago. I know that there's no doubt that he's someone I need to watch a baseball game with at some point.

FYI if you ever want someone to go over the virtues of the sacrifice bunt, Slim is your guy. He loves getting the leadoff hitter on and sacrificing him over. Huge proponent of that move.

as always, i am optimistic about the baseball season.

and i am not against the sacrifice bunt in all situations, just most of them, especially when sacrificing a lead off f'ng double to third.
