New to the board

Just wanted to say hi and wish you all well. I am new to the board, as of yesterday. Can anyone give me any "pointers" so to speak? Who are the mods, insiders? What is updated and when? What seperates this site from others?

I also wanted to say, I have read over many conversations and threads since I joined and I was astounded at the civility I've seen. It's strange...I can subscribe to a website and pay good money, only to have opinions insulted. I can pay nothing and get a civil conversation. I'm not saying these boards are without objections and varying opinions, but I see a certain level of decorum not associated with many free sites. I look forward to speaking with all of you at one point or another and bouncing ideas off one another. Take care and have a great weekend!

What you've noticed, so far, is what you get here. Plus, it is a free site and these guys are fantastic. I had a login issue a few nights ago (at about 10:00 pm), I sent a message on Twitter and they got it handled immediately!

Just great convos and sharing of thoughts and info here!

Mods are but not limited to McPhaul, BBdude, Whisenhant, LongviewLobo, lsampson (aka Dr Google), and I probably am leavning someone off.

IMO, this is a gentleman's board. People here seem to be on good behavior, happy to be here and happy to engage each other.

As for pointers, there's more toys to play with here, such as private messaging, "likes", rep power, etc., . I think it's cool that you can express yourself in a small way when you read something that was enjoyable or that you agree with.

Enjoy the ride, it's a great time to become a part of this board.

What's up JR? It is good to have you over here! We are very lucky to have the good group of members we have.

For the most part we are an older crowd that became disenchanted with with other sites for one reason or another.

We sure are enjoying this.

The first time was Kristen Shepard. She was my mistress and was pissed. Oh well. Women are like tennis balls. It's more fun to juggle 3 or 4 at a time.

The second time was by my P.I. Bum Jones. It was all part of the masterpiece to frame Cliff Barnes for my murder and get him locked up so he could do no more harm to my family or to steal Southfork.
