New offer out? (Demarco Boyd - updated 4:26pm 10/23)

Multiple outlets are confirming Texas has offered Demarco Boyd out of Gilmer.

I have a few calls/messages out.

Boyd's 2014 stats: Has rushed for 132 yds, 2 TD, 32 yds receiving + 49 tackles, 3.5 sacks, INT, FF.

Update: 12:59 pm - Texas is the first school to offer both Kris and Demarco Boyd.

Update #2: 3:10 pm - Gilmer HC tells me there is no offer from Texas. Demarco thought he was talking to a Texas coach but was talking to a media person instead.

Obviously, there is a lot of confusion. Multiple outlets report offer, seperate source told me offer than HC says no offer.

This could be a big time offer. Kid is a helluva player and this will only help things with Kris.

I think Baylor is the wildcard. 

The impression I get (from a few sources) is that the older Boyd is really high on them. They'll offer Demarco sooner or later, sooner I'm thinking. Once they do they'll have offered both Boyds, a commitment from Lynch and MAYBE, just maybe a spot for Chase Tate - a undersized kid no one out of east Texas has heard about.

Texas has been recruiting Demarco for some time now and it only helps the possibility of Kris to committing to Texas IMO.

Mike updated the original post, but in case you missed it, Garland spoke with Demarco Boyd's Coach and there is no offer from UT yet.  Again, this is per Boyd's coach.

Mike is taking care of some family things right now but he has confirmed (as of 9:45 PM tonight) from Gilmer Head Coach Jeff Traylor that Demarco Boyd HAS NOT received an official scholarship offer from UT.

HornSports was told that an official offer is most likely to come tomorrow, Thursday 10/23.

Florida State also spoke with the Boyd family tonight after Texas and the Noles extended an offer to Demarco.

Monarch, the guys over at Scout do a great job and are good at what they do.  HornSports is reporting that as of last night, his coach at Gilmer told Mike Garland that no OFFICIAL offer had been extended.  Again, Coach Traylor confirmed the offer from FSU.  We are simply reporting what we are being told from his head coach.

It has to be true. Demarco has to have the offer. I read it on the internet.
