Heard may very well may be the most important recruit since VY. Lets home we get the right OC. If Heard is not impressed he could bail.

Heard is coming. He's already said he's 100% after Strong was announced. He's not one I'm worried about.

Well consider this, and I am not saying I am a proponent of Watson.

Heard was committed to coming here DESPITE what our offense has looked like the last 4 years. Think really hard about that.

Watson for all the grief we are giving him, has a serious feather in his hat right now and that feather will probably be the first QB taken in this years NFL draft.

not just Heard but other QBs and offensive players. If i were a offensive guy, especially in 2014 or 15 class, i would not be sold on Watson as my OC.

Heard is 100% TEXAS STRONG and despite the critics he CAN throw the ball quite well..

was Louisville 23 -3 the last two seasons, with a huge win over florida last year. Nobody heard of teddy bridgewater till that big win and quess who was his qbs coach and oc coordinator. Shawn Watson

He ran a system that worked in Louisville, doesn't mean he cant change that system to fit in big 12

Looking back to last year everyone expected Ash to start and he was suited for the same offense like the one CS ran at UL. The other QBs werent ready or didnt fit the playbook that they had worked on all year. Now with a spread concept and a yeay planning for their actual strengths should change all thay. I think Heard takes it and never looks back IMO. Locksley even though a stud will transfer and end up at WR.

I think we should probably let him get to campus before saying he will transfer. At this point we have no idea how he will turn out at QB or if he will even be ok to WR after getting a shot at QB.

everyone, as in the coaching staff?  or the longhorn nation?  if the latter, then i take exception to that statement.  from the day CS was hired, i stated that he shouldn't even look at ash to be the QB because of his concussion history.  although, i stated it in a different website.  in any case, the coaching staff should have concentrated on swoopes earlier than they did.

Lol. Just keeping it interesting. I have no clue what will happen. I just want another stretch of 10 years with 10+ wins.

Its normal for good players to transfer if they dont have a shot at starting and they don't or can't change pos.

Im guessing like the other 99.9%.

Hindsight isn't 20-20. It's hilarious.

So the most important recruit since VY didn't bail. But now he's the guy everybody wants some guy from e wash or some juco to rescue us from.

Fans and especially recruitniks are the best.

I think (Im not an expert)...

They could have felt that the system that they brought from UL would keep Ash from taking the hits he was in the past. I for one didn't expect the OL to fall apart as bad as it did with injuries and discipline issues.

How many wins would Texas had with Ash and healthy OL all year? I know its speculation but I dont believe anyone even staff expected so many set backs like the ones that took place this past year.

I hear ya. Hell after this last recruiting cycle I think it is safe to say even the "experts" know what these kids will do.
