How ugly will the Bev Kearney situation get?

There has been some talk about the coming D4 making realignment perhaps unnecessary due to going to some type of NFL style regional system and an 8 team playoff. What have you heard as to the current thinking and what do you speculate it will eventually end up looking like? 72 teams competing in 8 leagues of 9 each on a round robin basis with 4 additional D4 cross-league games which don't count for the league championship, but do count for the SOS/Win-loss record/poll seeding of the league champions for the playoffs? What you hearing as to when it will all happen?

Do any of our current coaches (namely Wyatt, Giles, or Davis), or support Staff (Suddes & Shipley) have a spot in a "Viper" coaching Staff? Shaw/Briles/Mora?

What if....The whole Saban situation turns out to be a giant smokescreen, who is the REAL target? or targets?

I want him just as much as everyone else on all the boards, but have a doubting feeling he isn't coming....I certainly don't want us to end up being the laughing stock of the football world if we have to go to option 5/6 or beyond...That would hurt

I am kind of tired of hearing the same questions about if or when Saban is coming. I really do not think anybody knows at this point what coach we will actually get and I don't see any real answers to start speculating until Mack announces his retirement. So I will just throw out an easy one for you. What time do I need to be at the tailgate party Thursday?

If it is Saban...

Will the university get any kind of ironclad commitment from him prior to the national championship game/bowl game or will he have the option to back out at any time? If he accepts the job, when would a public announcement be made?
