I really like the new Arkansas football uniforms.  No grey, black, or gradient numerals.  Just a nice, clean look in their school colors; crimson and white.

This is what I had in mind for Texas if we added a matte burnt orange helmet and pants.  It's still a very "traditional" look.  What do y'all think?

jb, please know that i love you.  but those "arkansas" uniforms remind me of a "texas 5a high school".  imo, there is simply nothing "collegiate" about them.  and those god awful "matte" helmets...  just reek of "on the cheap".

university of texas, football uniforms are "iconic".  should there ever be any form of upgrades as per these uniforms, then it shall need to be of "first rate quality vs appeal".  otherwise...  no change!

The white helmet just doesn't look right for them. Otherwise, nothing bad or really good about the uniform itself.

I don't get the "mod" typeface for Arkansas, since it's not a real modern state.

They're okay. I'd probably give them a little more love if I felt Arkansas would still be wearing them in two years. But Arkansas, like many other schools, is a program that has fallen victim to a missing identity. When you're in the SEC, you're in the State of Arkansas and you're one of the conference whipping boys...you have to find something outside of your conference that will reel in recruits. The modern and constantly updated uniforms is the route that Arkansas has chosen to maintain their recruiting base. I'll let you decide if that's worked out for them or not.

Somewhat off topic

But check out this minor league jersey

Zombie Apocalypse Night

Cal League jersey
Single A ball

Probably wont be seeing this at the Big 12 level anytime soon -- but Maryland might, or Oregon ....

I think Arkansas still sucks.

I'm not a fan of the typeface or numeral font, either, but thought the simplicity of two colors might work for us.

I am really starting to like our practice jerseys.  I think they would look great with black pants, black cleats and a clack helmet with the burnt orange longhorn outlined in white.

JB, they aren't too over the top, not bad.  However, the day Texas changes the helmet color to anything but white......

Oh heck no! We are iconic and should remain so. I don't even want to see a one game change.

I once had this conversation with DeLoss and he assured me it would never happen under his watch. Guess I'll have to have the same convo with Steve.

No! Hell no! Never!

If you have that kinda stroke with Texas athletics, I say use it!

Are you McPhaul's FOB?

I think Nike designers are much better than Adidas.  Adidas schools like Michigan and Notre Dame wore hideous alternative uniforms the last few years.

Alternatively, new uniforms Nike designed for Washington, Miami, and Syracuse this year kept the integrity of school colors and simplicity yet modernized the uniforms at the same time.
