Nebraska Rumors

Because Nebraska and Texas are former partners, not necessarily rivals because Texas dominated them throughout the original Big 12, some interesting things being said about the job status of Bo Pelini. The rumor is that Pelni is done after the Iowa game. Possible replacement names have surfaced, to include Jim Tressel and Gary Patterson to believed to be high on the list, with Scott Frost as a darkhorse.

Why I believe them to be true is because they are coming from a former news reporter that would not say this just to generate discussion. The source worked in the Omaha news market for years and moved on to sports radio and does an outstanding job. I would consider this valid.

Good for them.

Isn't Tressel under a show-cause for the next two years?

If so, kind of takes the steam out of this report....

Yeah, not surprising. I don't see Pelini coming back next year under pretty much any circumstance.

Show cause can be taken care of for the right price. Its the NCAA, not a place of ethics

It is going to be Scott Frost if something happens. My opinion with some rumor attached. No reason for it not to be Frost.

I can't understand why thay are overlooking South Dakota State's Craig Bohl. He's accomplished more than Scott Frost and Gary Patterson, for that matter. He's a Nebraska alum and could win a third straight FCS title this year. I think he would be the most logical hire. FWIW

Frost would be a good hire. His job as Oregon OC is respectable as hell too. He's a program guy and would do a ton to boost the program's morale and swagger - which Pelini seemingly sucked out of it.

I did a little interview with the hardest working man in college football a while back. he still remembers the Inaugural Big 12 Championship well.....

When the Big 12 was formed and Texas demanded change in the way scholarships and education was done in the Big 8 Nebraska has not been the same team. Something the SEC dose not do when it comes to education it's all about football at all cost. My friends y'all have a great week.

Scott Frost will be the next coach, no brainer. It would be a huge coup for Nebraska and they would start dominating recruiting again with his Oregon ties and promise to bring that offense to Lincoln

Is it the one and only Jims If so great to here from you. I think Frost would be a great hire too

Obviously, I think they'll go full on for Frost. But I think they should take a look at Patterson. What he did with TCU isn't something you can readily scoff at. Have they failed some in the Big 12? Yeah. But his earlier teams, including the Rose Bowl Champion team, weren't scrubs. And he did that with the scraps left over from Texas, Oklahoma, TAMU, TTU and Baylor. I think he'd be a real success at Nebraska.

As far as Pelini goes, I think the writing has been on the wall for a while now.

There is a post on another site that Pelini has already submitted his resignation effective the end of the season.

Hey bud it is bad spelling and all this is a great site seems to be adding good posters all the time. My friends y'all have a great week.

Frost may do great, but am also surprised they don't go after a proven HC and perhaps throw some cash at Frost to come be their OC and.................wait for it............HCIW
