I thought I read somewhere that DeAndre Moore is also an EE.  This is what I'm tracking.  Really wish D. Williams was an EE because I bet he could contribute right away in 2023 if he had a Spring under his belt.  I count at least 5 guys (6 if Lefau gains a little weight) that could be in the rotation for 2023 (2 possibly starting in Cook and Hill) after a Spring under their belts

I don't think he is an EE.  I know Lefau is for sure. My golf buddy said he is prepped and ready to head to Austin in January.  Playing golf again with him in a couple of hours and I'll ask.  However, he only knows Lefau's family.  There is someone on here that is married to someone that knows the Akana's and they could find out........hint hint.  Or we could just wait until January to see who shows up on campus.

Hard to get early snaps on the DL but I wouldn't be surprised to see Sydri and Vasak out there as well. 

It may be special teams snaps, it may be garbage duty snaps and they may still redshirt, but I wouldn't be surprised to see 3-4 games that they get in there. I also wouldn't be surprised if they are rotational guys by the second half of the season.

Thats true, a lot of good talent already at the DT position. I don't think we will need snaps from him but I think he'll be up to it if need be and if nothing else, get him 4 games of experience.

I have a feeling we're going to see some movement to the the portal after Spring ball. There is so much talent on the D-line and only six or so spots to play in the rotation.

I could see getting six interior Dline plenty of playing time. Bo had those guys playing with a high motor this year and was able to platoon two at a time throughout the game. For those big dudes to play at max effort they can’t stay on the field more than 6 or 8 consecutive plays. If we could run them in two at a time every few plays they would be hard to block. 

Outside guys aren’t 320-360 so they can go a few more snaps without as much drop off but they need to stay fresh too if possible.

Of the new recruits the one i am most excited about is Derek Williams. Texas secondary has been taken behind the woodshed too many times over the past few years. That has to improve in pass coverage and a top safety would definitely help. Of course a solid pass rush would also help but I think thats going to take more time.

This doesn't directly answer the EE question, but they've been catching up a bit the last few days and it was brought up that he is an old HS senior.  Akana is 19 years old and may be ready to get his College days under way. Sorry fellas, best I could do for now.
