Must Read The Deck is Being Shuffled

Sexton is a genius, he is going to get all of his big clients a raise all off the open UT position.

Saban, Strong and then Briles.
Fisher stock falling.
Guys relax, Sexton reps both Fisher and 1A. 1A is locked, so Sexton ejected Fisher... or Fisher ejected himself based on 1A being locked. There is no other explanation.

Smoke your Cohibas bruhas.

Northtexashorn asked about it, but he didn't say it definitively.
I don't want to quote another board, but, yea he did. He said he read it elsewhere and wondered if JS had heard the same thing.

Sexton represents both. He looks out for the interests of both.
IMO, this speaks well of a Saban hire. Fisher backs out if he sees no point, I would imagine.
Sounds good to me.

yeah, he's saying he read it in another article, which could mean here. Huge circle jerk right now. Got great respect for Jesus, but I think this SAban deal is dead. Never say never, but I wouldn't bet on it, and I would've a few weeks ago

I'm really curious about this so called article now

uhm yeah. Look, I would love for it to be Saban, but it's theCharlie Brown football thing. What is name of poster?
Charlie Brown?

Not sure I understand you buddy.

That's fine, no one is going to reprimand you for what you choose to believe here.

There is no information posted here that suggests Fisher backed off because Sexton told him Saban took the job. So, no, I don't think he meant here. If I'm wrong, please link me because I'd love to see that article.

I think he is referring to the ole Lucy pulls the football away from Charlie Brown just as he is about to kick it thing.

I just can't imagine why, if Saban is close to being locked in, Texas (and Sexton) wouldn't perpetuate any illusion of Fisher still having a shot, if for no other reason than to keep the media at bay. Maybe it is pure cockiness, but I imagine half a dozen tier one HC's lining up for a piece of the Longhorn pie, and I don't imagine the behind-the-scenes interview/vetting/negotiation process is nearly as complicated as it plays out on message boards. Either this position is filled or we've got our eye on somebody and have a number two locked in in case the sought after coach shoots us down... and why that somebody would be Charlie Strong is beyond me. Fisher made sense. His 'stock falling' just doesn't compute for me. Either the shuffling of the deck is a load of horse crap to keep everybody from paying attention to the man behind the curtain, or... I don't even know. I'm thinking we get an announcement by Friday, and if not, I'm calling the doctor for some xanax.

A poster on IT is saying Fisher is backed off because Sexton informed him Saban was the guy.

Like I said the other day I find all this just fascinating

I don't really get the feeling that half the fanbase hates Briles based on one action. It was a bush league action, but I think Briles gives us a better chance at winning than Strong.
Because we don't. Randolph is the only one bringing this issue up.

But I digress....
