Yea, I'm due for a $2 million payout when I get canned as well. Ridiculous, if we all get canned we get to clear out our desks and hit the pavement in search of a job. D Rose makes $270,000/game whether he plays or not, and he hasn't played much over the last few years. Sign me up!

I think Charlie gets a big raise by either staying at Texas or leaving for Florida. He will be on their extra short list. Would not surprise if he bolted to the Gators. If you think it is impossible, you drink too much orange drink or wear very thick orange glasses.

It's 6 million. I think the Lane Kiffin route is the best way to rehabilitate his reputation for another HC job. Associate yourself with a winning program for a couple of years and someone will take a chance on you. If Michigan hires an offensive coach like Dan Mullen that might be a good spot.

He doesn't have but about 11 months invested in the Texas job. He has a very tough job rebuilding Texas battling Aggy, Baylor, TCU, OU, and SEC teams for Texas recruits, etc.....He could recruit much easier in Florida. What is more difficult ...winning the SEC East and getting a chance to win the SEC, or beating KSU, Baylor, OU, and TCU, etc.? Lets hope Charlie holds a grudge, otherwise he could bolt.

I'm not anti Strong. I've liked the hire from the get go. I am not sold on Bedford as DC, and still not .....even after OSU ( We do kick ass against weak teams though ). We haven't stopped a GOOD team yet ( but I understand we don't have talent yet either ). You all must understand this is a BUSINESS for the coaches. They will do what is best for them, not the University. There is no loyalty unless they are an alum. I hope Charlie stays and puts us back on the map, but it will not surprise me in the least if he bolts.

Let's make a bet. If Strong bolts for Florida I will say "GBT is the greatest poster of all time" for a full year after every post. If Strong stays at Texas you have to say "Utisdabomb is the greatest poster of all time" for a full year after every post. Deal?

What? Bedford pretty much stopped the number 1 total offense in the country in Baylor (Briles pretty much said this after the game). He also stopped the number 12 total offense in the country in WV and the number 20 total offense in the country in OU. What are you even saying?

Honestly, I was not surprised by this.  I think Coach Boom ends up as a DC at a big program.  As for the new HC at UF - I do not think it will be an up and comer - it will be a prospect that has HC experience. 

I do not think UF will contact Coach Strong nor do I think Coach Strong would leave UT for the Gators - just my .02.
