Could it be OU? Finishes 8-4 (5-4 conf) after being picked #1 in some polls?

It's amazing what Stoops did with all that talent everyone talked about in September.

I'm interested to see what happens with OU next year. They return a lot on defense but boy they have some serious question marks on offense.

They lose their starting LT, LG, RG, RT, TE and FB. That O-line/blocking was primed for success this year. I'm not sure OU has a clue who their QB will be next year on top of everything else. If they lose Shepard to the draft, that offense might really struggle.

Samaje Perrine was injured today, too. I'm sure he'll be back. You're right about their OL and their recruiting class right now leaves a lot to be desired.

Yep, that defense was way overhyped too. Maybe youth played a factor but I was not impressed at all. Hell, they made our offense look very good.

Texas should have beaten OU this year if it wasnt for some costly turnovers but we outplayed them for most of that game.  Stoops is showing some weakness after losing some good assistants.  Their main problem is same as ours, the QB position.

dont forget that OU gets Mixon back next year after the red shirt/suspension...looks like Trevor Knight had one fabulous bowl game and couldnt live up to his own press clippings

Here is the ugly stat....OU led in every game they lost...CHOKLAHOMA

I'd say UT if we finished 6-6 with David Ash at QB, but yeah, OU is a good candidate at 8-4

They also get Dorial Green-Beckham after he sat out this year after transferring from Mizzou.

Stanford, UCLA & Auburn are in the discussion with OU. For me, I cut OU some slack because of the injury to Shepard.

Saw a mock draft, possibly on this board (?) that had him going in the top 5 picks. Interesting. The

new NFL doesn't play DGBs games anymore.

How about our Horns offense?  Very disappointing. I was expecting so much more production.

One could argue that Florida has a good case. Some polls had them winning the SEC East. This was the year Muschamp put it all together. Instead, it just fell apart on him.

I think once Ash and all OL with any experience went down, my expectations were pretty much gone.

Teams that the media has being good to great this year were...

USC (ESPN was back to their slobbering of them)

UCLA

OU

Auburn

South Carolina

Georgia

Those all have to be considered disappointing teams.

Before I opened the thread and read anything - ou came to mind first as the most disappointing team... 8-4 with a HUGE home loss to - wasn't it Baylor? and then losing to a very mediocre osu team - I know ou had a few key players out but...

my runner ups would be Auburn and UCLA.
