Also to clarify golden has not been kicked off the team. He is rumored to be back at home right now.

SignUp Now!Rumor on the Aggy boards is that Golden has had more issues and has been kicked off the team. If Golden gets kicked off for an arrest, that should mean Claiborne is kicked off the team for two arrests.....am I right?
The AD doesn't run the show over there these days. They have alumni who have written big checks lately. When a university commits $450 mil to a football stadium the AD listens to the donors.I think the AD is getting tired of it.........bet this is more about the AD and not Sumlin.
I feel sorry for the young man. I have 3 daughters and I lost any of them I would go into a tailspin. I will say a prayer for him.To be fair golden has gone through some stuff. His two month old daughter died a few months back and I think he's trying to figure things out right now back home.
He'd be a helluva loss but being a dad myself I don't know what id do with myself if I lost one of my own.
I know there are no words that can relieve the agony of the loss of ones child. And, in your case, an only child. I have seen this tragedy repeated more times than you can imagine. I have never gotten used to it and I lost a little piece of me every time it happened. Believe me when I tell you that doctors really do have compassion for their patients - especially when they are innocent babies totally dependent upon you for their survival. Because we see so much of it we do become more inured to it than most and we cannot become too emotionally involved or we would be forced to quit the profession or just go crazy. The loss of a child is the ultimate loss. Believe you me, I know! I have lost parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends, but there is nothing greater than the loss of one of your children. I lost my daughter (age 21) , an Angel Who Walked This Earth, and my only child, when she was run over and killed while she stood in line to pay out at a kiosk at a parking garage (was considered to be out of harms way). I lost her 5 years ago and the hurt is still as strong today as it was when it happened. I know my precious daughter is dancing for the Lord in Heaven, but my life is forever changed. It is through the mercy and grace of the Lord that I am able to do as well as I do. May the Lord bless Mr. Golden and his family as well as each and everyone on this board as He guides and leads us on each of our journeys. God Bless,Lindsay's dad
I must have missed it - what was his story?I heard Golden was planning on enrolling at SFA this summer about 4 days after the arrest. I wonder if this secretly happened but the A&M guys are doing damage control.
Drugs - the scourge of the nation. When someone has to go through this it doesn't matter if they are an Aggie or a Sooner - it brings all of us down..Wish Golden the best though. Sounds like he had to withdrawal to enter a rehab program, based on Gigem247.
He's already failed at discipline. He did nothing to control Manziel, nothing. Can't start discipline 3 years in.JM made discipline a joke at atm and Sumlin will have problems and have to work twice as hard to credibly implement any (if he really wants to). It had to be egregious to get kicked off an SEC team though.
