I can see both these teams being passed over next year come bowl season.

To be fair, Number 12 got knocked OUT by a Memphis player about a minute beforehand. His adrenaline was likely flowing at a very high rate which doesn't help the situation since no one thinks rationally when your adrenaline is pumping.
