Well, when dealing with a young man's future, many of whom probably don't have another option for college entry, pulling a scholarship offer at the last minute, and not allowing enough time for them to land elsewhere... That is pretty low in my opinion. But it is done many places. Meyer and Saban get the press for doing it a lot but it may be that they just get called on it since they are more successful. I don't know the statistics, but there have been research articles on it.
I would hope we don't follow suit regardless of who the HC is. We've proven we can win without doing that even with average Gameday coaching staff's. I would think someone like Saban would like to prove he can also win a NC at a place where Academics still matter too. Not just the SEC warehouses. Perhaps we!ll see.
