Malik's "Scoop and Score"

True freshman linebacker Malik Jefferson scored his first career touchdown as a Longhorn on Saturday night against the Rice Owls.

Kris Boyd blew up the option pitch from Driphus Jackson to Sam Stewart, allowing Jefferson to scoop up the fumble and take it to the end zone.  Stewart had 130 yards rushing on the night and scored two touchdowns, both in the 2nd quarter.

Boyd was impressive on that play.  He caused the fumble, great tag team work from 2 freshmen
