Question:  the longer it goes that we don't hear "the announcement", the better chance that he stays?  Am I correct in making that assumption?  Considering he's been practicing, from what I've read previously, I think it's safe to assume that he'll at least play in the bowl.  And if he's playing in the bowl and hasn't announced his intentions to forego his senior year, I'm hoping that it means he'll stay.  What are y'alls thoughts regarding Malik?

He's got turf toe, so he's not playing in the bowl and has likely seen his last game as a Longhorn.

His draft status is pretty sweet, so he'd be crazy to stick around another year.

I knew of the turf toe but didn't realize that he wasn't playing in the bowl game because of it.  Well crap!  Why hasn't he announced if his intentions are to bolt?  Any idea?

Part of me thinks he is giving at least a little bit of thought to coming back to give it one more shot at being part of a winner. Now matter how insignificant of a thought it might be, the team fell way below the expectations that were talked about when he signed to play here. There is definitely a reason why he didn't put the speculation to bed right away, I'll just hold on to that reason being contemplating on returning to finish on a high note.

If Malik plays in the bowl game, I’ll be very very very surprised.  Shocked, frankly.
So I’d think he has his draft grade now since everyone else has gotten there’s back correct? If so why has he not decide to go pro yet or not? The longer he is holding out the more hopeful I’m feeling.. he had a heck of a year but just think if it stays with Orlando 1 more season. talk about a RAISE

I've said/thought all along he would come back. Malik is a very good student and I think him getting his degree is important. If he stays his stock will rise next year. I think him and Todd have bonded and both share a vision for this defense moving forward. Idk or really have any other reason for saying this......is be shocked if he leaves. He basically went from a 2 star to a 4 star in one season under Orlando. Plus, Imop.....he would have declared by now if he was leaving. I just don't think he is going to leave.

He'll get his degree regardless if he comes back or not. That won't have any bearing on his decision. I'm hoping that Herman's biggest recruit in this class is No. 46 like Mack's was with Ricky Williams. If Malik stays, THAT will be Herman's best recruiting job.

i'm hoping that he decides to stay.  i'm sure it's a hard decision with the money staring him in the face.  hopefully, he talks with ricky about why he decided to stay for his senior year.  the Longhorns definitely need some senior leadership.

He is going pro
Hmmm can’t find that anywhere on the World Wide Web. Hope it’s FB talk and not true lol BUT if it is then thank god for the man named Gary Johnson! Re-watched the tech game last night and he was freakin everywhere.
