Mike Roach was fun to follow this morning on twitter.  Can't wait to read "now" how this staff are recruiting gurus when earlier this week they had their shortcomings.

Wow! Impressive. The staff has to be feeling good this morning. After all the frustration they have dealt with, it has to be nice to see their vision get some buy-in from kids with serious options.

Many of us were wrong - I admit I was wrong predicting him to aggy and I am damn glad I was wrong... CFS and staff changed the course of this recruiting battle very late in the game, maybe late last night.

Getting Malik and McNeal could also be HUGE in that it may turn the heads of a bunch of recruits that are on the bubble or even 1 or 2 that may have committed elsewhere.

texags will be in meltdown mode today... a lot of dog cussing McNeal and especially Malik, calling Stumblin a dumb-ass and of course accusations CFS and tu paid them to come to UT kind of BS.

Well, this certainly should put a bit of extra zip in our steps today. I'm looking forward to watching the at aped event later.

As I have said, this staff is working really hard on recruiting. Extra hard. Doing more, seeing more, covering more miles than previous staffs by a long shot. Some of the results showed this AM, but just wait. They are building relationships for future classes. By and large these are new relationships so we may miss on a few that we SHOULD normally get. It's hard sometimes for a young man to accept that the guy in his living room that he's been talking to for several years would lie about the new a coach at Texas and what they both really stand for. There are some barriers that need to be broken down and often, it is only time, repetition and observance that these so very young men need.

So, now it will be reeeeealy interesting to see what ripple this has. I imagine the phones between some of these young men may be lighting up. Yes, by dang, they do talk amongst themselves much more than I would have thought or most here are willing to accept.

So, I'm skipping today. Don't judge me.
