Remember all the belly aching about how if we didn't have a wide open offense we wouldn't be able to recruit well offensively?

It's winning and the facilities and the coaching staffs. Unless you are completely out of it (wishbone, etc) it's not that you have to run a Texas Tech offense (home many top 10 classes did Leach get?).

Bama, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Stanford, etc. etc. etc.

A lot of kids wouldn't care if you run the single wing offense, IF you win big and get on ESPN a lot.

Winning, having a chance to play

Playing in big games, winning championships

Enjoying life at the school, good education, good social life, feeling of family

Preparing for a chance to play at the next level

Preparing for life after football

Those are the things that are important to kids, some factors are of different importance to each kid.

CRS will set his program in place and we will see if he can get it done. So far he impresses me as a top flight coach and a man of good character

+1

After looking at all the various classes, I'm almost convinced LSU was a bigger factor in our recruiting efforts than aggy was.

OSU on the way up and almost established as one of the conference's best each year. 16 Texas recruits.

OU, slipping each year in the quality of talent and no longer dominating the Big 12. 7 Texas recruits.

It's not working, Bob.

I agree with you for the most part, but Visor Boy did end up with the top ranked class in the Big 12 conference. Bob started to slightly trend away from the State of Texas several years ago and now appears to be depending more heavily on the national scene.

I am all in on Texas from now on will be in the top 5 in recruiting starting in 2015 "till"-----------------------------------------

IDK, Stoops was able to fill in nicely with top prospects from CA and even one from OH. OU is still a force.

LSU stole 3 of our Polynesians. Do they have a large Tongan/Somoan population in LA?
