Full disclosure, I have attended the RRR 16 of the last 17 years and have received tickets from my wife's (OU grad) uncle (former Chief of Police, Norman). Of course, that means sitting on the OU side every year in burnt orange. This year I was insistent on sitting on the UT side and with the ticket availability, jumped at the chance.
I like many other UT supporters, was pleasantly stunned by the result, but now that I have had time to digest the win, I'm not too sure it is as significant as I thought. My initial thought was that TCU played OU tough b/c of Notre Dame hangover, but after watching OU/Kansas, I have to acknowledge that despite the result in South Bend, OU simply isn't the same team without their starting DT and LB.
The TCU game is a classic swing game and very dangerous due to their corners ability to cover man to man and Patterson more than likely stacking the box. First one to 24 points wins? I certainly think so. My hope is that The QB for TCU is a little rusty and that UT gets an explosive on defense or special teams.
Just my 2 cents and that may be overvalued.
