NIL involving customizable jerseys? Do I have to explain?
Baron, click the link, watch the video, read the article. This is simply a program allowing fans to buy LSU jerseys, with said players name, and the player makes money. Just like all those #10 jerseys we sold around 2005 that VY made no money from.

My mistake, I hope. Soccer is the worst offender here. I couldn't tell you what their mascot is, but I can tell you who their sponsor is just by looking at the jersey. The NBA isn't far behind they already have the patches on the left shoulder. With the NIL looming larger all the time why shouldn't I worry about this?

You shouldn't worry about that because it's not up to the players or their NIL partner on what they put on their jerseys. And they wouldn't be able to sell authentic UT jerseys without some type of license from the university. Seeing how protective we are of the burnt orange and Texas brand, I doubt they will allow jerseys to be sold with other sponsors on it if with getting a cut of the money. Also, the jerseys would likely be Nike as with the LSU ones. That's the sponsor. They aren't making a jersey with some other company's logo on it. So NIL isn't looming over these.

Maybe some concern there but honestly that isn't a NIL issue. UT could hypothetically sell the jersey space as an advertisement (I guess there are NCAA or Big 12 rules preventing this currently as no school does this). In the case it is allowed, that money would go to the school and not the players.

Genius move if it happens. I love that Sark isn't intimidated to get the best around him. Cutcliffe on Offense and Patterson on defense will be a huge help on both sides of the ball. Not to mention that it gives Arch yet another reason to come on board. Hope this happens.

Make no mistake, Cutcliffe is being brought in to bring the Arch recruitment to a head.

He is close with all the Mannings.

OrangeBloods saying Kitan Crawford is making a postion switch to safety.
I look forward to seeing him play there. Kid has skills and football savvy. He's 6'1, so he'd be a nice sized safety who can fly. IMO, he'd start anywhere in the Big 12 next year at CB.

Being the head football coach at a demanding program like Texas is much more than a full-time job, especially for a coach like Sark who was brought in to also lead the offense. Bringing in Patterson, Cutliffe, and perhaps others is a brilliant way to get proven mentors on staff while giving the head coach time to deal with his highest priority duties. If a respected coach like Sabin has had as many as five former head coaches on his staff at once, that tells you something about what the position requires to excel at the highest level. About time we have a HC and AD who understand that.

I would imagine Texas is letting Patterson get paid by TCU right now.  I don’t know what TCU owed him but I assume quite a bit.  I would expect if Patterson is still around past his TCU money that his Texas salary would go way up.
