For those still feeling low, here's one example of a handful I've seen so far of outlets believing Texas will ultimately make the playoff.

Win out, win the conference and it will be difficult for the committee to pass on Texas.

I'm still mad about the game too, but it was a game that was winnable and we just didn't execute. The season is not lost.

It could be a lot worse....imagine if we lost to them 49-0.....

I appreciate the encouragement. As strange as this may sound, getting beat with 15 seconds left when it was a VERY winnable game, hurts worse than 49-0. A 49-0 is an *ss whipping. There are no doubts. Getting beat like we did has too many of angry memories of multiple times with execution and this game could have been a win, even a rout.

The fact this team is even being discussed for a playoff spot is ahead of schedule, imo. I equated this team to the 2008 team...almost there, but still a little more tweaking to go. I went into this year with 10-2 in my head with 11-1 as overachieving. As far as I'm concerned, they're a little bit ahead.

Don't get me wrong, the loss sucked and I'm still upset by it, but the bigger picture is still there.

What I think about is how poorly we played, yet still almost came away with the win. That tells me that when we meet again in a few weeks, Texas will romp. Key players all over the field just didn't have good games. That's not likely to happen a second time.

My thoughts exactly. We had 5 turnovers if you include the two picks, fumble, downs at the goal-line, and the roughing the punter penalty against none for ou and it still came down to the final play. How likely is it that we manage that again?

The team and coaches drank the burnt orange kool-aid and came out un-prepared and not matching the intensity. We did get hit on the chin but fought back. That’s good. But man we are so loaded we should not have lost. That’s what hurt the most. We will not be this talented next year but I do believe we will win out this year.

We will be this good again in 2025.

Blue chip ? Are you saying we're baaaaaacckk ?
Should’ve never went anywhere. Mack got lazy. Patterson made a poor hire in Strong, then we got the frat boy Herman. Sark has shown he can fill the cupboard via recruiting AND the portal. It’s time

I was pretty salty the last couple of day so I stayed away....not even looking at a possible rematch

we need to get healed up with the bye week and get our head straight and concentrate on crushing the next opponent, because there are lots of one loss teams, and looking at the teams ahead of us and NOBODY will go undefeated, so we need to impress the voters in the polls and show the OU loss was an anomaly and this is not the Texas of old
