Back in the '70s we called it the "Doobie" and it was a nasty area back then.  Made the mistake in watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show there when it first came out. I should have walked out.

actually I didnt. I didnt know any of the songs or the people except for fat meatloaf.  i didnt understand all the yelling at the action on the screen and throwing rice. It was all very odd to me.
