Longhorn News/Discussion (Non-Recruiting)

FYI I've updated the pinned roster table.

I've added numbers and removed a few guys I wasn't aware left the team, like Cort Jacquess and Russell Hine at LB.

If you missed it a while back, both RB Derrian Brown and DE Peter Mpagi medically retired.

I have a total of 88 scholarship players, but let me know if you notice anything that's incorrect.
Tfloss, thanks for keeping this up to date.  Very nice to have this.  I did not realize Texas has 4 SRs at the CB position.  Any chance at least 1 stays for 2022?  They really, really need the talent of a Denver Harris infused into the room. I guess they can go the transfer portal route next year.

I'm not that concerned with the S position with Adimora, Owens, Thompson, Coffey, Austin Jordan and Bryan Allen. That is a good blend of talent, experience and youth. Should always have around 6 players in that room.

IMO  the super srs. does not count towards the 85 limit. If so Brewer, Imade, Oakfor, Kersetter would nor count. And what about Schooler?

Also Overshown, Cook, Jamison, Foster, J. Thompson andEstelle are all eligable to return if both sides agree.

This makes this year almost impossible to count recruiting numbers. Ionly have 85  but will compare my chart ( on paper) to yours.

Are you counting guys like Brockermeyer, Money, etc.?

IT had a few updates on fall practice to this point...

- Chris Adimora has made the switch from nickel to free safety, where he is behind BJ Foster.

- freshman WR Xavier Worthy is running with the 1s.

- the names they keep hearing for best OL are Christian Jones and/or Derek Kerstetter.

Such a tragedy, both Brown and Mpagi. I hope they find their stardom in some other aspect of professional life.

Interesting . . .

TFB said today that they felt Card had a noticeable edge in the QB battle.

A couple hours later both Golden and Bohls said Thompson had the clear edge in the QB battle.
