I saw many a band there back in the day. Would love to hear who you guys saw perform at that fantastic venue that once was....

Neville Brothers ... Yellow Moon Yellow Moon! SING it Aaron! First time I went to a venue and realized that my feet would no longer allow me to stand throughout a concert.

Esther's Follies - Westward Hose! When Esther's Sixth Street venue burned down - not a band, but so what.

Asleep at the Wheel. What a night listening to such a great band in such a small venue. Truely special.

Snuck in thru the womens restroom window a few times.

Usually had to send a girl thru the front door, then she could go unlock it.

The window had a size limit.

I got caught once trying to unwedge my buddy whose belly was too big for it.

Used to go see this reggae band alot.

Their crowd fav song was "96 Tears," they made that song last almost forever.

Lead singer always wore these ridiculous gym shorts.

Maybe after a 2nd cup of joe, I can rmbr the name.

Foo Fighters when they first came out with their first album.

Loved going there, but man, that place was incredibly hot during the summer. Tin roof and nothing but a few fans to keep the air moving.

My memorable shows were Wilco when they first came together, Cowboy Mouth, Dinosaur Jr., Pavement...the list goes on and on.

I remember going there during their last day when a series of bands played "Gloria" for 24 hours straight.

I also remember the City of Austin saying they were going to help the venue relocate.

I believe the lead singer for the Lotions was Michael McGeary. He also was the singer for Balcones Fault. I remember hearing mostly local bands - Lotions, Beto, Big Boys, Bad Mutha Goose, Joe Ely. Good times.

Fugazi, the Melvins, L7, Henry Rollins, NOFX, Face to Face, Sepultura, Clutch, Bad Religion, Hole, The Muffs, Rancid, Throwing Muses, Reverand Horton Heat, Ed Hall, Starfish, Sixteen Deluxe, Gals Panic, etc. I basically lived there from 1994-1997.

Waaaay to many shows to remember.

First was when I visited my cousins in Austin when I was still in high school. They took me to Liberty Lunch to hear some guy I had never heard of. That night started a lifelong obsession. I have now seen this same guy play in concert 51 times! Though the term had not even been coined yet, I became a Parrothead that night.

I also saw SRV there a coupla times while at UT.

One of my favorite shows was Beto, I was kinda seeing a Hispanic girls that loved to dance in place to his music. Best part of the show.

Joe Ely, a bunch of SXSW showcases (back when you could actually get in to SXSW showcases), and the best of the bunch...Jason and the Scorchers. That band cooked.
