LHN rumor

This is from my relative that works at LHN about the rumor of a Mac retirement special being made:

Sorry I just saw this.... I don't check FB much. I've seen that rumor as well. No one at LHN knows anything really, truth is we are wondering just like all fans, right up to to the people @ the top. That said, we have had a retirement tribute/news piece ready to go for months. I'm sure that's where the rumors are coming from, but that's pretty normal in tv/news.... got to have things ready just in case. At the news station we had obituary stories for certain public figures as they got older as well (lady bird comes to mind). Anyway,I kind of think he's gonna quit but that's just my gut.

Very standard practice in the media. They had Michael Jackson stories queued up for months. Madonna. Etc. People like that. LHN surely has some sort of package ready I'm sure.

i dont think Mack will quit in reality, the headline might say "retiring, im tired and its time." but reality will be forced retirement. I am sure LHN/media will spin it nicely, as they should and highlight 2004-2009.

Thanks for the clarification. It makes sense, I've had my resignation letter ready for years now in anticipation of winning the lottery.

Highlight 2004-2009 sure those were the bcs years but don't forget about 1998 mack's 1st season! 98 was a great memorable season! Run Ricky Run! 99 getting the #1 recruiting class that included Chris Simms! 2002 that recruiting class that was the foundation for the national championship in 05!
