A) Steve Patterson is not really operating this way with a new flavor every day. No way no how

B) to reference the Patterson thread I started with info from a very connected guy to the level of having conversations with Patterson he's not going to risk his career on a lower tier guy. He didn't come to Texas for that and go make over a mil in salary so he could just "settle"

He's doing a complete search and logic says he's obviously waiting for some to finish bowl games

Saban, Fisher, Mora…You can keep Briles, Baylor and I want nothing to do with Ole' American Conference Hero Charlie Strong. I think we get confused about Baylor and A&M "success" during down years for Texas. Yes, they were good, winning seasons, upgraded etc., whatever you want to call it but that's all gauged without a stable, consistent Texas program being TEXAS.

It's like the tallest kid in your class has been out of school with the flu, so everyone has been running a muck at recess on the basketball court…wait 'til he's back in school. 'Bout to restore order in the court real quick.
