Every football coach in Texas history has essentially been accorded that courtesy. This is the first time the Internet has been very active insisting that the coach be fired or pushed out.

I see your point bcherry and I guess the good ones were allowed that courtesy but Mackovic certainly wasn't...pretty sure McWilliams wasn't either...but I could be wrong. Very frustrating that Mack holds his coordinators accountable (see Diaz) but will still pull in a Huge paycheck without results. University of Texas football is sliding into the abyss quickly. In my line of work my slick behind would have been gone with this kind of result! HS coaches in the state are not allowed this much cushion.
