btw, Dad my be pushing Auburn because Strong has such a powerful influence on his players. It's all for the good, but some Dads might not want their sons to have another strong male influence, even if it's a good one.

That's a shame because we see what happens when young men lose focus, and it's not good.

Thats crazy. Why would any parent with strong values NOT want their son or daughter to be under the tutelage of someone with those same values ? ....

Do you have any knowledge of our interest in Jake Hubenak, the Blinn quarterback who is from Georgetown, He appears to be a very grounded, intelligent and mature young man.  If we could get him in here for January 2015 enrollment, I think we would have a very interesting spring competition for

Good stuff! This first "real" recruiting class will be interesting. On one hand we have had some ugly games and that can turn off some recruits, especially on the offense. On the other hand I have heard that the high school coaches are really buying into Strong and his positive influence on these young men.

Yes, I have even met Jake.  My nieces boyfriend Ross Lodge played left tackle for Blinn so, I caught a few of their games.

Jake is dying for an offer but, I'm not sure will be coming.  I will ask my buddy more about Jake Monday.

There was an audition in the state playoffs a year ago. Both Heard and Hubenak were there in the same stadium. Heard ate his lunch and it wasn't even close.

Seems we're looking to repeat the audition?

Look at the true freshman Mahomes at tech. In his 3rd game breaks the big 12 freshman passing record. Granted it's the system they run, but he was under pressure and was checking reads. Kid is a baller. he replaced an injured starter. He was very impressive even though they came up short today.

Just wondering if the hubernak kid could catch on quicker since the story seems to be Heard is way behind Swoopes and probably won't beat Swoopes. At least hubernak has some college experience
