Sorry for the OT but my laptop battery died today and I am clueless as to where a reliable place is to get a replacement. I am in P-ville. I have seen many online but not sure of the reliability of the sites based on the feedback. TIA.

...check out amazon.com. pay close attention to customer reviews. these reviews, shall steer you upon the right direction...

What monarch said. I've bought many computer parts off of amazon with no problem. You do need to pay attention to the reviews because there is a lot of trash on amazon also. You could also order the part from the manufacturer's website (dell, HP, etc).

I own a PC shop in Colorado I agree with Amazon. I would go with a Prime seller. With a Prime seller returns are a snap Amazon provides a shipping label for a free return. I buy 85% of my PC components from Amazon, and the other 15% from eBay. To name a couple of resellers I would recommend on Amazon would be Anker, Discountbat, GLmart. Hope this helps.

Sooner or later, the battery of your laptop starts to hold a charge badly or stops working at all. Batteries are selected according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The first thing you should pay attention to is the model and P/N (part number) of the native battery; this information can be found in its labeling. This marking will help you choose from various batteries that are ideal for your laptop model. Next, you need to familiarize yourself with the main characteristics you need to consider when choosing a battery for your laptop. The first time I bought one, I didn't pay attention to this, and I paid for it by losing data from the hard drive. I do not know how this happened, but it is good that I turned to the services of salvagedata.com, which helped me.
