FROM UT ATHLETICS:
Texas Athletics announces Loyalty Points system
New procedure rewards fans for commitment to Texas Athletics and its student-athletes
AUSTIN, Texas – To reward all season ticket members, Texas Athletics is instituting a Loyalty Points system. This new procedure provides a simplified process to determine priority for season tickets, parking, AT&T Red River Showdown, postseason games and other high-demand events.
“The Loyalty Points system adds value to all season ticket and Longhorn Foundation members,†said Steve Patterson, Texas Men’s Athletics Director. “It also rewards those who make a lifetime commitment in Texas Athletics and our student-athletes through philanthropic contributions, which are vital to the future success of our programs.â€
The 2015 football season ticket renewal process will be the first application of Loyalty Points. Totals are based on full season ticket history, seat-related contributions and philanthropic gifts. Renewing Longhorn Foundation and season ticket members earn Loyalty Points based on past contributions and purchase history dating back to 1986, the year the Longhorn Foundation was established.
“Across all areas, we are working to improve the fan experience through increased customer service,†said Patterson. “This is one component of that overall goal. It directly reflects a need expressed by our fans that we were able to provide a solution.â€
Points are awarded as follows:
5 points per $100 contribution for philanthropic gifts received after Sept. 1, 2014
2 points per $100 contribution for seat related contributions received after Sept. 1, 2014
3 points per $100 contribution for all gifts and contributions received from 1986-2014
1 point per $100 contribution for all ticketed sports since 1987
Texas letterwinners receive a one-time bonus of 150 points.
Fans can view their Loyalty Point status and determine where their next donation will place them in the rankings using the point calculator system available through theirDonorNet account. Account holders can also contact their personal service consultant to discuss their Loyalty Points.
More information on the Loyalty Points system is available at TexasSports.com. Season ticket and Longhorn Foundation renewals for the 2015 football season are coming within the next few weeks.
