Anthony Fera has been money this year. It is nice to have someone kicking who is reliable again! After last year I was wondering where we would be in this phase but he seems to be over the groin issue. 27 of 28 extra points and 11 of 12 field goals. I think he's only made one mistake as a punter, against KState if I remember correctly, and punted it to the returner in the middle of the field.

What's up with Nick Rose? I thought he had a big leg and was getting a lot of touch backs but his kick-offs have been coming up short lately. Anyone else notice this?

Nick does have a huge leg. He can hit from 60+ fairly easy in warmups. Ive not heard anything on the injury front.

We need a longer term solution at punter instead of parading in transfers. I cover a local kicking prospect, Austin Huff, who had some interest from Texas until they offered and got the commitment from Corbin Daly. Huff and his dad both tell me Daly is the real deal at the position (sounded like he could be as good as Brad Wing was for LSU)

Oh man.... Fear is nails this year, I agree. Like night and day from last year. Last year he was sketchy and not confident. This year when he punts he booms it. When he lines up for that 45 yarder, you know he will make it. Glad this season is being good to Anthony.

Some interesting Fera info from back in the day. Randy Bullock was a grade above him at Klein so Fera transferred to St Pious, then there was a guy a grade below Fera who was good too named Ronny Doherty who kicked at Kansas. So once Fera transferred Klein had three straight kickers in the Big 12.
