Other notes from the article:

"Linebackers Dalton Santos and Timothy Cole had hip procedures and are expected to return in time for spring practice. Receiver Bryant Jackson (foot) and defensive tackle Paul Boyette (shoulder) will miss spring practice and return in the summer.

Texas has already ruled out four more players for spring ball due to injuries suffered in 2013: running back Johnathan Gray, linebackers Jordan Hicks and Tevin Jackson and cornerback Sheroid Evans."

I wonder if any of them are going to speed up their recovery after visiting the "Pit"

Obviously games are won and lost in the trenches and Mack almost never seemed to believe in having any OL on the roster. Depth has been a problem for a long time and losing Cochran sucks.

Terrible news ! This kid played as well as I've ever seen for a Fr at tackle. I really had high hopes for what he could become as a senior.

Sucks for Cochran. Did an admirable job, but just could not get the strength he needed.

There's only so much speeding up the other guys can do with ACLs and achilles ruptures.

Love the kid, great heart but the writing on the wall was there on this one. Because of his injury he had lost a staggering amount of weight.

That being said, he was just born into the most prestigious networking group there is. There will be Horns worldwide ready to give this young man a chance.
