Jordan Spieth closes with birdie on Friday.

Finishes -3.

He'll play with defending champ Adam Scott Saturday.

The other big name who put himself in position late in the day was Jordan Spieth, the 20-year-old making a bid to become the youngest Masters winner ever. He's a part of what I thought were the best first- and second-round pairings, with Rory McIlroy and Patrick Reed. But out of that sub-25-year-old group, only Spieth is really in a spot to do anything on the weekend. Reed is going home and McIlroy needed a par on the 18th hole just to make the cut after a day of unlucky bounces and breaks (including one wild bounce off a sprinkler head).

Looking forward to watching Jordan play with Adam Scott on Saturday!

What an unbelievable talent.  He's so mature and focused for a 20 year old.  \m/

As of this moment, within 1 stroke of the leader.

Jordan is currently 7 months younger than Tiger when he won the Masters in 1997.

Jus sayin.

He will playing with Bubba Watson tomorrow.

They are the co-leaders at -5.

Should be fun.

For us at least.

If Spieth does manage to win he would be the youngest Master's winner ever.  Under par in all three rounds thus far.  Quite an accomplishment for the Texas Ex.

For the record, Jordan actually completed 3 semesters at UT.

"Texas-Ex"?

Not to pick nits, but he was only on campus 3 semesters.  Doesn't he have to get that sheepskin and T ring before he earns that title?   ;)

Hoping he would sport burnt orange tomorrow but instead green for The Masters. Lucky green it is. :) Go Jordan!

Well, we know he won't show up in Tiger red and black!  Nice burnt orange would make the day even better.  Looking forward to watching him tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jordan told CBS losing hurts, but makes him hungry.

When I was twenty I was romancing a tri delt UT cheerleader that was light years out of my league.  I'm still amazed that she actually stepped down to marry me.  And she is still a better golfer than me.
