Jason Kidd Saved the Mavericks From Themselves

The Dallas Mavericks had a bad week. Jason Kidd did his part to ensure it didn't get worse. Earlier in the week he announced he was signing with Dallas for 3 years and $9 million..OOPS..a moment later, after a round of golf, he had a change of heart and announced he was signing with the NY Knicks.

Thank you Jason for your service and for not taking you tired old bones to Dallas for 3 more years. Your decision will force head coach Rick Carlisle to play Delonte West, who had way better numbers, at the point and allow young gun Roddy Buckets to get some needed playing time.

While I am at it I give an honorable mention to Jason Terry for leaving as well. We would not have that championship without either of these two guys but it is time to move on. Watching this duo failing to get in front of those young guys with the OKC Thunder was a wake up call that these guys just can't play anything that resembles defense.

I guess it is the big one now. Thank you for your service and goodbye.

It was a good run with the team while it was in place and I am thankful they pulled a championship off. Kidd is old anyways and Terry isn't getting any younger. Cuban will do what it takes to get the team back to the finals....
