SignUp Now!Fred Akers is still breathing as well. And how about Mack Brown at #10??
But, I thought Strong was a "defensive guru"?been saying it, he needs to cut ties with his buddy bedford.
Don't be afraid.I'm afraid we are going to be stuck for another year of this shit show.
Defense has been on the field an average of about 33 minutes a game. Offense about 27 minutes. If the defense is on the field most of the game because of inept offense..Bad stats are gonna happen. I wonder how many more minutes our defense has been on field compared to our offense.
Well damn NTG...Thats hard to defend..lolDefense has been on the field an average of about 33 minutes a game. Offense about 27 minutes.
Doesn't sound like a lot of difference. And it's not like the defense didn't have opportunities to get off the field but didn't because of their own ineptitude.
no offense. can you post the mins/game? i'm too lazy to go through it myself. not that i don't trust you or anything....Defense has been on the field an average of about 33 minutes a game. Offense about 27 minutes.

I'm wondering how these times compare to defensive teams like Bama, LSU & OklahomaDefense has been on the field an average of about 33 minutes a game. Offense about 27 minutes.

718 plays for TexasA more accurate depiction would number of plays run by opposition compared to our offense. All the up tempo pass happy offenses skew the time of possession stat. Total plays run is a much better picture. Although even that can be deceiving if the opposition scores quickly. At my nephew's playoff game last week, after one quarter they had run 11 plays but were up 21-0. Two quick strikes and a punt return TD.
Alabama 33:05 Opponents 26:55I'm wondering how these times compare to defensive teams like Bama, LSU & Oklahoma
LSU has QB issues like we do but LSU's defense is better than ours.LSU 31:26 Opponents 28:34
Texas's time of possession rank is "pretty damn good", T115 out of 128.
