OB has taken notice of what we have over here. SG posted over there about the Saban contract being presented to Sexton etc and this is what Chip Brown had to say..

"Who is we? What's the base salary figure? Come on people. Sexton and Saban ain't got diddly doo in front of them. They might soon. But they don't yet".

I did not post this to bash OB. I posted it to show how we are getting attention at other sites.. We are in the game folks..

Editing post for appropriateness.

I'll simply say there is a reason this site, out of all the UT sites, is the site pulling in the most intellectual posters and fans.

Chip's info comes from Power's office and he only gets what they want him to get.

FYI, please do not make this a bashing of OB and their site in this thread. Keep the comments about the growing of Hornsports.

I actually laughed at it when i read it knowing that HornSports now has their attention and there is nothing they can do about it except watch.

Why would either site care about little old Horn Sports?

I'll admit, I've been a lurker on other sites for years. This is the first I've joined. Good vibes (if my head doesn't explode from all these possibilities!).

Jesus basically says a deal cant be done until the Powers/Saban meeting goes down and it hasnt happened yet. That from an official UT perspective Powers has to meet with Saban and the official offer would come from UT

I dont think that means Saban hasnt been given an outline or terms or Mcphaul is totally wrong, but it cant be inked until they meet

Because...

mcphaul never said that a deal was going to get signed. But all contracts get reviewed by all parties before they are signed. It's common practice for one side to submit their proposal to the other side in order to gain agreement. Basically this puts the ball completely in the Saban/Sexton court. Texas has met everything that needs to be met in regards to Saban being the next HC. Now we will see whether or not he really wants the job.

I talked to McPhaul earlier today. You guys will dig the Crossfire Report on Wednesday.

Because McPhaul isn't posting it over there and when asked why SG responded, "Why don't you go over to HS and ask him yourself"

I think this board is wayyyy too focused on what other boards are saying about them and what other boards are reporting in their own respective threads and not focused on how this board can begin to make a name for themselves. It's disrespectful to the people who are paying for that site and I know the other mods on those boards try to limit what gets reported from other sites. This board seems to relish on it.

I absolutely love what mcphaul brings to this site but outside of him and a few other posters, there is too much emphasis on ob and IT on this board.

Ugh, I feel better and sorry to vent and be that guy, just trying to defend the other sites.

And before u say it, I realize this is my first post and I realize I'm lurking. I just really value what mcphaul says and value all things Texas sports in this crucial time for athletics so wanted to join the board and will continue to post on threads probably in time.

well a contract is an agreement between two parties, so both parties would have to sign, I would assume Powers would be empowered to represent UT So it is possible that Nick has a contract in front of him but even if he signed it , it will not be valid until both parties sign
