IT: 1A is still in play, CB is wrong...

I am so tired of Kirk Trohls..... That guy will do anything to cast Texas in a negative light

:mad:I used to respect Mack and think he would fix things. He never did and now he is throwing a fit. It's the weirdest thing seeing a coach act the way he has. I have lost all respect for the man.
Christmas night, my mom was being defensive of MB, I sat her on the couch and let her read pertinent threads from here, OB, IT, etc. Her response was, 'Oh wow. Oh my goodness. How could he? Whaaa? Why in the world...?' and then , 'What a dick!'

Lol yeah I think a lot of folks eyes were opened up to Mack's true colors!

we have at least three different UT websites with different mods and insiders all having reported on Mack making this very difficult behind the scenes, and trying to control things. Do they all have an agenda? At some point its pretty dang hard to ignore - and now even the statesman is reporting Mack is trying to get more money after already agreeing to a deal.
come on
Not to mention the quotes from JJ coming on the heels of that Texas Monthly interview, the sour faces on MB and Sally the night of the banquet, MB's snide comment to Pete Thamel the week before.. the pieces fit. Some people just refuse to see the writing on the wall.

Mack should be entitled to his buyout and nothing more
he should also be removed from coaching the Alamo Bowl

this is just ridiculous
I say we just take him out back and shoot him. LOL.

Sometimes you wonder who the puppet is and who the puppet master is?

Along that same line , who is worse? the one selling the "snake oil" or the one who keeps coming back to buy another bottle?

Lost in all this is that Texas has a game on Monday.

Mack's final present will be a 91 Cotton Bowl or 84 Freedom Bowl finale. Texas isn't ready because their coach is more concerned about vengeance and his image.

Pathetic and the man thinks he should have been allowed to come back.

Whatever Mack's trying to get he'd better get it and signed before Mon. night -- double-digit bowl drubbings tend to hinder a retiring coach's bargaining power.

Interesting that JS is now putting more stock in the Mack threat. Apparently, Mack is leaking stuff to Bohls, making demands for more money and no Saban.
BMDs, the key ones, are boiling mad and are contemplating their next move. I still don't think Mack's thing goes anywhere. We're seeing a sad case of self-entitlement. Mack's surrounding support is not what it once was.

We need to get through these next three days. I think we'll see something move on the Mack front before the end of that period, as far as the BMDs are concerned.

Give credit to McPhaul, who placed significance on Mack's tantrum when others weren't thinking much about it.
Sirhornsalot if the BMD's are boiling over Mack's tantrum, why is he still Coaching the bowling game?

LOL.....love it!

There's two possibilities:

1) Negotiations did in fact go on with Saban while Mack was still under contract and rumors were deliberately leaked to gossip websites in order to force the resignation of Mack Brown. If that's true then someone engaged in contract interference and Mack is completely entitled to being compensated for the damage. That was pure low class by Saban and who ever "represented" Texas.

2) Nobody interfered with Mack's contract and all this malarky about Saban was a bunch of nonsense.

If there's one thing I hope Texas doesn't do it's pay $50mil to be humiliated by an unspectacular 5 year stint with Saban. You want Texas to be a laughing stock x10, that'll do it.

In any case, Mack Brown has shown nothing but class his entire time at Texas.

Did the same thing with a couple of coaches from different programs.

Their opinion changed pretty quickly. Coaches coach. Period. You don't worry about what others think. You prove them wrong with winning ball games and your work ethic.

Mack hasn't done any of that. He has used the media and lawyers. Sorry but "coaches" don't do that. He needs to head to Bristol or run for office.

Considering the the last month or so I dont think many people are going to agree with you. He's not leaving on the best terms at all

Mack, if true, is acting childish but to say he never fixed things here is clearly false. It was time for him to go, but he did turn things around for an entire decade.
I'm talking about the last four years he has been promising to turn it around. I'm grateful for the time before, but that ship has sailed.

Fair question.

That's a pretty, well, make that incredibly bold move as far as the football world's eyes go. Can you see this on ESPN?

You try not to get into a national piss fight. Cause no matter what, you WILL get piss all over you.
