It’s Game Week....

Someone posted on Twitter that Burt wasn’t traveling with the team. Can anyone confirm

Tulsa  ... our season depends on the OL and run game. I believe we finally have a run game that can open up the pass.

Our recieving core is probably one of the best groups we have had in a LONG time.

our defense I’m not worried about the slightest bit.

We have a favorable home-away schedule. And where it isn’t favorable we are facing first time starting QBs.

this all comes down to the run game opening up the passing game which means this all falls on the OL...which I think can get the job done.

11-1 hookem horns!

I'm excited about game week, but cautious at the same time.  Last year I was pumped only to be bummed 3 hours later.  I'm going into this game hoping for a Horns win, but not expecting it.  I know that's blasphemy, but the last 7 years have done a number on my brain.

How long have you been a member of KA?  Does it really work?

Just a reminder that Wheeler has to sit the 1st half of the Maryland game due to a targeting call in the bowl game.... such bs

Color me skeptical but it seems kind of deja vu then Maryland beat us last year and it was a dumpster fire.

I am not looking past Maryland this year regardless of their staff issues.

I am a little worried about our defense.  LB is very thin.  Poona, Hill, Elliott, MJ all gone from last year which were key personnel.

Hopefully Orlando can work his magic but I will abstain from NC bandwagon until our OL proves it can block and our D shows it still has it without KEY players.

I don’t feel good about this game or this season.

Perhaps that’s a good omen. I thought that we would easily win eight last year.

After the past several seasons, I don't feel good going in to any game.

Sounds like you may be recovering.  Don't stop going to the Kool-Aid Anonymous meetings though.  You will always be a recovering Kool-Aid drinker.

Guess I’m just delusional but every game Texas plays when we’re undefeated I feel good. That feeling just hasn’t lasted very long the last few years.

Gary Johnson imho looks better than Malik. Caden Sterns taking Elliot's spot is a concern cause he's a freshman but he's looked good. Chris Nelson and Giles should do fine replacing Poona Ford. And Davante Davis, Anthony Cook, and PJ Locke should do well in Holtons spot.

Wusses!  Wusses, I say!   We've had nearly a year to get ready for this week-end.  Bought new TV's, recliners, built up our thumb muscles on the remote and filled the fridge with our favorite refreshment for game day.  It's time to man up, lock your wife in the broom closet, turn off HGTV, get in that recliner and start rockin'!   We're going to kick ass and take names this year!

BTW, the orange Kool Aid isn't too bad with Tropical Isle Palms spiced rum.

Understand you man. Two years ago, Ty Swoopes at the helm, I predicted 10-2.

I will always carry a deep streak of shame for that. Especially for the old pal I told it to (hint: our most famous fan, who was quite rightly skeptical).

But this year is different!!! Gulp gulp gulp.

There's no way our O line will not be better with all the experience and new blood, there's no way our QB play isn't better -- he was a true freshman, by god, gulp, and our D is no less stacked than last year.

So my prediction .... 10-2.

f - uck it.

where are the KA meetings?

I’ve been holding it in (my obsession for UT) since the bowl game for the sake of my wife. Cats out of the bag this week, she is about fed up with me already and game 1 hasn’t even arrived.

lord help me

This! I wholeheartedly endorse this sentiment. Can't wait for Saturday but I'm having angst about the game.
