Is the OB War room announcement true?

So, SHL, tell me - was I mistaken?  Didn't that site announce that something "epic" was going to happen in the war room last night?

Yes, unfortunately I do.

I think a visit by Murray and Lodge, out of nowhere, is an epic event. I think the idea of a press conference to announce their pledge to UT is also epic, considering who it is.

I don't think the news was overplayed. It's huge.

I'll say this and I think this is key – he deleted item #9 last night which I had copied and pasted here by itself. I said this is Daylon Mack's visit in question here. In that item he said it would happen within 36 hours. His source asked him to take it down.

He was right. Mack is at Texas today.

Now, we have a mod on IT who says Ketch has screwed everything up. Ketch did his job. If anything, sources in Allen screwed it up, if you care to think about it as screwed up. That doesn't compute, IMO.

I don't care for the guy at all as most of you know. But right is right and you have to give credit where its due.

Go sign up over there Doc, since you seem so set at "proving" there was some type of internet injustice done.  I'm sure they have some sort of free trial or something.

Why are you so hung up on this?  Let it go.  It's really not that big of a deal.  You're on HS.  There is plenty of great recruiting news here to be discussing.  Everything discussed over there has been touched upon right here.
LOL!  Don't be mad at me.  I'm like everyone else - I'm hoping to hear some good news about Murray and, if they have it, I want to know about it.

I've already dissected the news from all the rest of the sites and the epic announcement sounded like they knew something no one else did.

It happens. .

Doc....I'm no particular fan of OB. I've been off and on the board since it opened its doors...seen every thing there is to see. Regarding your question if there was a pre-announcement that there would be something "epic"...not anything that I was aware of.

Perhaps the word epic was used somewhere..I don't know. But I do know that, as a general rule, if a board over-hypes some event that is forth-coming and then fails to deliver on the hype...there is hell to pay.

That was not the case last night...not even close. The comments I read ran at least 10 to 1 in favor of last night's war room being the best they had read in the last 5 or 6 years. And I agree. The patrons came away extremely pleased last night.
Ah.  Okay, got it.

Actually, I read the same thing you did at IT.  And my take is the same as yours.  The guy at OB can hardly be blamed for screwing anything up when the kid posted the visit and the jersey on the net.  And the truth be known, it was actually TexAgs, of all people, that broke the story of the visit.

I guess what threw me off with the War Room story is the fact that all this information would be old news, by the time they said they would make the epic announcement.  that's why I thought they might be announcing Murrays announcement.

Oh well - all we can do now is wait and see what happens.
