Jesus on IT still believes so and so do a few other notable posters like Casis, and Izzy.
I'm being told that the ship has mostly likely sailed but, we will give it another shot.
If Texas big shots really must have Saban, things can be arranged quite simply: Send a Texas cowboy dressed as a cowboy to Saban when he's alone, away from the sight and earshot of all, i.e. appear unexpectedly without any witnesses, and say: "Listen very carefully Mr. Saban as I have something important to say about your life, and I'll say it only once. This is a contract for the head coach of Texas football program. You will find it an extremely generous package. (hand him the contract) You have until tomorrow afternoon to sign it as is. If you sign it, you will see me once. If you don't sign it, you will see me twice. You don't want to see me twice if you want to coach football." (then disappear)
JS on IT just issued a response on a thread that he doesn't believe Saban would come after his remarks to the press.
I agree. I think it's done and over with.
I originally believed he was coming, but the saga of Saban to Texas is over. I of course would love to eat crow if that statement ended up being false. I really really would!
You're correct. But after reading it, I am still not persuaded that what's posted there may be considered proof that there had ever been a realistic chance of Saban leaving Alabama.
Theoretically, it could have been designed to help pressure Mack Brown to resign (which I would support as a good move for a good cause).
For me the most important thing was to get rid of Delossy Dudd and Mack Brown.
I'd certainly welcome Saban to UT, but I'm sure there are good alternatives. How hard can it be to find someone better than Mack Brown?! (the guy is an imposter by my standard)
