I have been waiting for you my man!

The name I have heard is Jim Mora Jr. If you think about it, it is going to be hard for Texas to get anyone in NFL that has expressed interest in the job because of the schedule.

I remember the first time I heard Jim Mora Jr. live. It was an interview with Doug Gottlieb who was filling in for Cowherd and I was sitting in line at the Chik Filet drive through. It was great.



Fast forward to the 3:20 mark for the fireworks. And listen to Mora's parting shot at the end.

Thoughts on Mora, McPhaul?

I like the guy. Former NFL & College HC so, he brings a lot of exp to the table. He is from a football family so, he has been around the sport all his life.

He appears to relate well to the kids so, recruiting looks to be a strong point.

Eh, I'm still cold on Mora after his comment about Washington during his tenure with Atlanta. I know he claims it was a joke but I feel there was a lot of honesty laced with awkward laughter in those remarks.

Malzahn now that Briles is off the table. All of the NFL guys sound awful to me, but Mora is light years ahead of Tomlin or Gruden, which isn't saying a whole lot.

I am new to the board I enjoyed reading you on OB. Is Mora, Jr. really our backup option? It seems a school like Texas should be able to shoot higher than that. I know he is an experienced coach and all, but by no means does he seem to be a home run.
