Some notes on yesterday's Pro Day:
Emmanuel Acho measured out at 6'1.50" 237 LBS. He went through some individual drills but he is still recovering from a quad injury. Draft status: 5th-6th Round
Tray Allen measured out 6'3.25" 300 LBS. - Draft status: Free Agent
Jamison Berryhill measured out 5'10.50" 230 LBS. - Draft Status: Free Agent
Blake Gideon measured out 6'0" 204 LBS. - Draft status: Free Agent
Ahmard Howard measured out 6'3.75" 238 LBS. - Draft status: Free Agent
Cody Johnson measured out 5'10.75" 259 LBS. - Draft status: Free Agent
Cody also ran a 4.72 in his 40 and had a Pro Day best in the bench press with his 27 reps. Cody should make a team as a solid FB with his size, strength and speed.
Kheeston Randall measured out 6'4.0" 293 LBS. - Draft status: 6th Round
He did not participate in the testing portion because he did that at the NFL Combine and he wanted to focus on his field work.
It was noted to me that Randall spent some good quality time with Mean Joe Greene who told him he needed to widen his base to give him a little more balance.
Keenan Robinson measured out 6'3.0" 242 LBS. - Draft status: 4th-5th Round
Robinson did not improve on his 40 time from the NFL Combine. He ran another 4.69. It is projected that the Bears have a lot of interest in Keenan. He has been told he could be anywhere from a late 1st round-early 2nd round to a 3rd or 4th round pick. He stock is everywhere.
Christian Scott measured out 5'11.75" 220 LBS. - Draft status: 6th-7th Round
David Snow measured out 6'3.0" 303 LBS. - Draft status: Free Agent
Justin Tucker measured out 6'0.0" 180 LBS. - Draft status: Free Agent
Fozzy Whittaker measured out 5'9.0" 194 LBS. - Draft status: 6th Round
Fozzy is still recovering from major knee surgery and hopes to be ready by training camp. Fozzy only participated in the bench press where he improved on his NFL Combine of 20 reps of 225lbs to 23 reps.
On a critical note, this may be one of the worse drafts for Texas in regards to number of players drafted and the slots they are drafted in. This draft is very telling as to where this program has been the last 2 years.
