The Longhorns are currently 4th in the conference. We can go as high as 3rd but can't finish lower than a tie for 4th. Here is a list of possible destinations.

Finish #3...Vlaero Al Alamo Bowl..Pac-12 #2 vs Big 12 #3 ..Alamodome, San Antonio Sat, Dec 29 6:45 PM ET

Finish #4...Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl..Big 12 #4 vs Big 10 #4-5..Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe Ariz, Sat Dec 29 10:15 PM ET

If Texas beats KST and OKS loses to OU, Texas finishes 3rd

If Texas loses to KST we finish tied for 4th at worst. TCU would have to beat OU to tie UT and they own the tie breaker over Texas Tech.

Odds we finish tied for 4th. If a tie occurs the bowls select the team they want. BWWB would choose Texas because they travel well.

Big 12 might very well get 2 BCS bids also which means Texas could go to the Cotton Bowl. If we went "Winging" it I would down a vat of spicy garlic wings from b-dubs in honor of the burnt orange...

I hate crappy bowls.

Site I went to had Big XII #2 team going to the Cotton Bowl. That would be Kansas St or Oklahoma probably against ATM.

Texas beats K-State they will be picking cotton....

That actually could happen. If OU beats TCU and they would be 10-2 and inline for an at large BCS bowl. The problem is Texas has to beat Kansas State to tie Okie State for third. They own the tiebreaker with OSU. I have also read the ATM would rather play Texas in the Cotton Bowl than go to a BCS Bowl. They are confident they can beat Texas and since all the bowl money is split with the conference anyway, they wouldn't lose money.

For Texas it might be a case of be careful what you wish for. A loss to ATM could set recruiting back years.

EXACTLY. But if you wish for Texas to lose to Purple Kansas then you ain't no fan!!!!!!!! Let's just roll these mofos in Manhattan....

In my bowl suggestions I didn't mention one exception to my crappy bowl list. If the second team is BCS elgible then the next team in line steps up..and..I know you were not talking bout me with the hoping for UT to lose crap.
