Strong on his conversation with Patterson. Loved it. Not bragging - just direct and confident. Also loved that he said Mack is always welcome and just respect that this will be his (Strong's) program. When the team takes on his attitude and approach, I think we're going to see a different team out there on the field.

Listening to Coach Strong, I have a great degree of confidence in him. I think he will shut up a lot of the "negative nellies" by the quality of the product (team) that he puts on the field. The man is extremely confident with no hint of arrogance or entitlement. COACH CHARLIE STRONG is the REAL DEAL!!!!

I got a shudder all over at one moment when the talked about the foundation here, the players, the ex-students who'd played here, over the years....

I got a flash of the years and decades back, the big OU games, the years in those big sleeved jerseys, the great players and teams of the 70s, 80s.. into the 90s.

That he was talking about all of them, all the players. Wanting to put on the field a hard-nosed tough big-hitting, driving (Earl Campbell!!) style of play, that honors and carries forward all that came before.

Still get a chill thinking about it.
