but while I do think it was time for Mack to go, I am much more emotional than I thought I would be watching LHN covering his last game. I wish it could have ended differently for him here, and I know that hating Mack is the "in thing" right now, but I don't care.

If there is any truth to the rumors about him lately, I hope that time will heal all bitterness.

Hook 'em, Mack.

We don't hate Mack. We just think the game passed him by as he stayed around four years too long and wouldn't accept he didn't have what it took to get the program back on track.

I have a lot of the same feelings.

Bashing a member is not aloud. We got your back girl.

The people on this site don't hate him, but there are tons of people on other sites that do.

I don't disagree with you at all, but I think with him moving on, it's time to appreciate what he DID do here.

My displeasure with Mack right now is the way he is leaving and trying to prevent us from hiring the coach we want. He just needs to take the money he stole from us and hit the road.

He needs a proper sendoff and I do not say that in jest.

And while we are on that subject, If Texas were to get stomped tonight I hope everybody that has not been a supporter of his will let him go without saying a word.

But, I see a ray of light in this game. I feel like I did before OU this year. I was preparing for the beat down but things turned out differently. I bet the kids play very hard for their coach.

...your emotion, stems from your compassion. this is a good thing...

Break ups never end well. You couldn't find a bigger advocate for Coach Brown then me. The game passed him by followed the debacle of our program. It most certainly could have ended differently-remember it was by choice. Always - Hook Em

I don't hate him. I doubt that most others hate him. I'm just very very tired of his utter incompetence on the job, along with an unmistakable culture of cronyism and arrogance in the dept under Delossy's reign.
You must not be a member of Orangebloods or Inside Texas!

I agree that the vast, vast, vast majority of the fanbase does not hate Mack. It's just sad that some do. Don't get me wrong, I get the angst and frustration, but it's time to move on.

I think everyone wishes Texas and Mack ended their relationship on a better note. If the next coach wins, I still imagine this is all forgotten and Mack will still be loved. If we sputter more into mediocrity, all bets are off.

I bet you're right. I have no doubt that history will be kind to him, though if we sputter more into mediocrity, I don't think it would be on Mack at that point.

Not bashing just disagree.

Texas is going to get their doors blown off because of Mack and the way he has let the program slide.

Oregon should never come deep in the heart of Texas and give Texas the beating they will receive tonight.

If you want to blame him for the QB situation, I get that and agree, but so far, the mistakes have been on the players (again, I get Mack is the one that brought them in --or more importantly didn't bring in the ones that needed to be).

That said, Brown is kicking a&& tonight. Exactly the right game plan against a team like Oregon.

I only wish the best for Mack. I was thinking earlier about Mack and I really wish Colt never would had been injured against Bama. If the rumors are true about Mack retiring if they had won he would be a legend now. I am also a member of IT and 247 so not all members of other sites hate him

Agreed about the Bama NC game.

IT? Really? I can hardly stand the hate towards Mack there. No matter. I agree with the rest of your post.

sorry, Mack's behavior has soured me on him. I thought he was a better man than what he has displayed.

So now so called "VIP" members can apparently get people banned if they dont like what you say? I really hope this aint so.

I will not delete because that is cowardly but I misread a situation and made an error in judgement without knowing all the facts. I sincerely apologize and I have complete faith in the Mods and Horn Sports to handle these situations.
