We owned them in the SWC, again in the Big 12, and yet they're still like flies on a cow's ass. We could boat race them in a bowl game 100-0, and guess what? Yep, still here.

Rod Babers stated on 1300 AM this afternoon that aggie has had there three most successful seasons ever by leaving for the SEC!??? Really? Didn't they actually win some SWC titles and have a string of good seasons with Slocum and even RC at times; not to mention one real NC and the many bogus titles they have claimed after joining the SEC.
I guess mediocrity is great in Coll Station, enjoy your third- fifth place finish in YOUR DIVISION.

First of all I am not a fan of Swoopes. I wish Texas had offered Barret instead but since we are stuck with him as long as he can play close to how he did vs UCLA, OU or OSU then we have a chance of beating TCU. Hes just so inconsistent.
After watching the Aggies defense they better hope to play someone else besides Texas in a bowl. Vance and Strong's D will rip their offense apart.

he is inconsistent because he played 2A football, and he played almost none at UT before suddenly having to be the starter. coaches, unlike fans, see potential and are excited about developing it. fans see the last play, and then start typing their thoughts.

Nah hes totally awkward and painful to watch at QB. How many times does he have to run into our RB during handoffs? He did it against twice vs WV and fumbled because of it in OSU game. Everyone says hes athletic but DL chase him down. Hes about athletic as a 3 legged elephant.
Besides I believe we heard it all when Watson was talking opening it up in the Spring. Swoopes went what 1-9 his senior season? I just dont see it. The kid has a great game then a horrible game. Unless its screens, curls, flare passes ( ala Troy Aikman at UCLA ) he can barely complete 30% of his passes in 3 games.
Hes a good kid but a chamionship QB he is not. I bet he doesnt get the start next year.

Yeah, got to agree that ole Troy Aikman barely survived in the NFL. If you're going to slam Swoopes, think up something a little more intelligent.

the troy aikman who struggled so bad in college, he ended up the #1 choice in the draft or is there another one ?
if you don't like swoopes, fine. but an aikman comparison seems odd.
