Good luck to my friend Whitney Keeling, head coach of Waskom. In 5 years, he has taken a team that was a perennial cellar dweller and today has them playing for a state championship.

[dillohorn]

Congrats to Canadian Wildcats for their 2A championship from everyone in the Panhandle.

FINAL

This is Waskom's first state championship, ever.

So we have a Panhandle state champ (Canadian), a Central Texas champ (Bremond), and now an East Texas champ (Waskom). For those wondering, Waskom is where Texas ends before you get to Louisiana on I-20. Canadian is north of Shamrock but south of Perryton. Bremond is southeast of Waco.

Next up: Class AAA Div 1 State Championship

Mineola vs Cameron Yoe

[Worster1]

Congrats to Waskom... Yeah, I have seen the Waskom exit 1 million times traveling East on I - 20 to destinations in FL.  Now, I have point of reference when I drive by: STATE AAA CHAMPS 2014!!

Halftime

Going to Hobbit III for a few hours. 3D feature, should be fun. ha ha

[dillohorn]

Mineola looked lost from the opening kickoff. Yoe is good.

Mineola looked lost from the opening kickoff. Yoe is good.

Mineola is very young and inexperienced. Yoe, while young, have been a mainstay in the playoffs for some time. It showed up on the opening KO.
