THought I woudl start this forum because my days have been crappy for quite a while. Crap is a relative term and applies to different people differently. My day was shit when my wife called to inform me that one of our hot water heaters basically exploded and 50 gallons of water gushed out drenching my upstairs ceilings, pouring through light fixtures and everywhere else. I came home and didn't even walk upstairs. I turned the Basketball game on (and saw we were losign by 19) and let out a few expletives to myself.

Top that off with the fact that I am supposed to be off this week and I will have to go in to work tomorrow to take care of some odds and ends.

Can't wait for the Holiday Bowl.

---off to find a plumber that can install a new hot water heater for me by Christmas.

That sucks Dude. A frend of mine had the same thing happen back in Mid October that caused about 60 k in damage to the house. His family was just moving back in last week after having to stay at a suites type hotel. i guess I better check my old ass water heater. I think I noticed a little rust forming at the bottom of the tank.

By the way, who the hell thought it was a bright idea to put water heaters in the attic anyway?

NO joke! I heard they put them in the attic because if they put them anywhere else you have to consider that area in the square footage of the dwelling. Damn cheap ass builders.

I am probably goign to have to put in two new water heaters so the other one doesn't do the same thing in a few months. 2200 smackers down the drain. Add that to the new AC unit I put in this summer and this house if a DAMN MONEY PIT!!!!
