Forget this game. He is our season. No more than a sprain, I hope.

Have a friend at the game that said he was jogging on the baseline after the injury and looked fine. Sure it's just a precautionary thing, no need to risk further injury in a game like this anyways.

That's good news, Bomb.

Taylor's fall from last week's game had me worried big time. Glad he was ok and hope the same for Holmes.

I will still hold my breath. There often is no pain with an ACL injury.

Adam Winkler Tweet, "The fact that he could put weight on it & stayed on the bench is prob a good sign, but per UT: his status for Tues is TBD."

I am not so much worried about the team unless we play bad again on Tursday. It is very difficult to play at the level it has been plaing night after night. Look at KU's play here for example. Add to that the worst 3-shooting team in the Big 12 rained 3s on us all day long. If you had told me Gipson would score almost nothing, I would have better hard-earned cash on us. Ridley was horrible. Taylor's floor game was not good. Holland's man got 34! Holmes was out. I eh and Ridley could not catch a cold. Felix could not hit until late. Perfect storm of bad.

A bad loss happens even to good teams, and they are easier to get over. Better UT teams than this one lost at KSU. I would rather lose like that than by 1 at the buzzer or by blowing a lead down the stretch. Holmes is the guy we cannot lose.

One absolutely certain thing happened: the Barnes-haters are back on OB. Frontrunners and bandwagoners all.

If Holmes isn't 100 percent healthy and Smart is suspended, Holmes should not play on Tuesday. We need him healthy. Oklahoma State would essentially be down to five players if Smart is suspended.

I agree though I'm not going to panic over one loss, especially on the road against a pretty good team.

Holmes is having a MRI sometime today, so we should know tonight or tomorrow morning about his status.

Who said that?!!!? There is hell of pain associated with acl injury
Not going to lie I always thought ACL injuries were more on the less painful spectrum of injuries. Guess that's just a rumor, because you are correct. Based what I found on Google if Holmes suffered an ACL injury he should have been in more pain and probably wouldn't have been able to put weight on it. I'm no doctor though, matter of fact I have a hard enough time taking Tylenol.

This is just a complete guess but I think Holmes probably just sprained something and there's no tear. Still that will probably force him to miss a couple games. Let's hope I'm right though, because a tear would be devastating.

A complete ACL tear will not impact your ability to walk in a straight line on level ground. There is initial pain, especially if you fall with the injury. I have torn both of mine. A partial tear is a different animal entirely.

ACL tear hurts like hell! I've had 4 ACL surgeries.
From what I read/heard Holmes really wasn't in any pain, his knee was just uncomfortable. Cross our fingers it isn't anything serious.

My star pitcher had a complete tear like cut through with scissors, SFLG. No pain at all.

Texas WBB guard Brady Sanders says her injured boyfriend, UT's Jonathan Holmes, "will be fine. Knee's tender but he's going to be OK.
